LILLIAN AXE: New Album Title Announced
September 7, 2008LILLIAN AXE has set "A Sad Day On Planet Earth" as the tentative title of its new album. The band will embark on a short tour at the end of September and October to "road-test" some new songs before locking itself up in the studio to create the new CD for an early 2009 release. A full-blown world tour will take place after the new album comes out. Songtitles set to appear on the new CD include "Hibernate", "Kill Me Again" and "Blood Raining Down On Her Wings".

On Sunday, August 31, LILLIAN AXE, hit the stage in 100-degree-plus Texas heat to perform for close to 3,000 screaming fans from all over the United States that came out early to see the boys rock hard at the Rock The Bayou festival in Houston. LILLIAN AXE treated the fans to 44 minutes and 57 seconds of pure LILLIAN AXE. Guitarist Steve Blaze, battling the heat, blistered the fans with his interpretation of the national anthem (see video footage below).
LILLIAN AXE's 1999 "Fields Of Yesterday" LP was reissued with two bonus tracks on December 10, 2007 as part of Z Records' 10th anniversary celebrations.
LILLIAN AXE's first new studio LP in nearly fifteen years (and first for the Metro City Records label),"Waters Rising" was released on July 17, 2007.
